A Marine is charged with trying to illegally bring weapons on to Offutt Air Force Base. PFC Ali Al-Kazahg was stopped last May for trying to enter the base in his pickup. Inside there were weapons not allowed on the base.
22 year old Al-Kazahg is from Nebraska.
A report from an official with the Marines states that Al-Kazahg was assigned to a unit in Hawaii and has been charged with a number of violations that include an unauthorized absence, fraudulent enlistment, false official statement, carrying a concealed weapon, communicating threats, among others.
Al-Kazahg's preliminary hearing date has not yet been set.
The investigation continues.
