A former Omaha elementary school teacher will spend decades in prison for sexually abusing some of his studdents.
A Douglas County District Court judge on Tuesday sentenced Gregory Sedlacek to 20 to 50 years in prison. Sedlacek will be eligible for parole in 40 years and will be required to register as a sex offender.
Sedlacek, a former Fontenelle Elementary School teacher, pleaded guilty two months ago to three felony counts of sexual assault on a child.
Each count carried a minimum term of 15 years and a maximum sentence of life. Sedlacek was arrested last December.
