People always ask me, "Josh, why is everything a sequel or a reboot. Where are the original ideas?" Well. Great question. Here's an original movie starring some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Ad Astra tells the story of Brad Pitt venturing into space to find his long lost father (Tommy Lee Jones). The movie co-stars Donald Sutherland, Liv Tyler, and Ruth Negga. Directed by the underrated James Gray (We Own the Night, Lost City of Z) Ad Astra promises to be one of the best original movies this fall. And it looks like quite the puzzle box mystery.
