Good news for those who like to be on the Elkhorn River. On what will likely be the hottest day of the year the Papio-NRD on Friday opened the Graske Crossing and West Maple Road access sites.
The Platte River Landing boat ramp and playground are also open. NRD officials say the Elkhorn Crossing recreation area remains closed.
The NRD urges everyone going on the river to be sure to wear life jackets.
