Friday's Bridge Beats Concert at the base of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge has been canceled.
Organizers say the excessive heat warning prompted the announcement that states this is for the safety of the bands, vendors and the public.
Omaha Parks and Recreation are hoping to reschedule the canceled concerts.
Bridge Beats is a family friendly event and are held from 6 until 9 at the base of the bridge along the riverfront.
The next concert is scheduled for August 16th.
