Air Force Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Lincoln

An Airborne Warning & Control system aircraft or AWACS from Oklahoma made an emergency landing at the Lincoln Airport Thursday evening. This was due to a fire in the engine.

The Air National Guard reports the plane is with the U.S. Air Force and six people safely exited the aircraft using a slide.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue and the Air National Guard assisted with the situation.
