Truth be told, I've never seen the original Maleficent. I know a ton of people that will vouch for it though. I love the casting of Jolie in the titular role. She looks the part, so I have nothing against the movies, just something I never caught the first time around.
Disney plans a sequel to the hit 2014 film later this year and has released the first trailer for the new movie. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will continue the saga of Sleeping Beauty's evil witch. An interesting angle, certainly more creative than the slew of live action remakes the studio is bombarding us with.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hits theaters October 18th.
