I love movies. I'm the movie guy here on NewsRadio 1110 KFAB. So it gives me real cause for concern to reveal the Charlie's Angels trailer to you all. It looks bad. Sounds bad. This, in a year filled with terrible reboots and failed sequels.
Elizabeth Banks writes, directs, and stars as Bosley. I know this because the trailer goes out of its way to tell you all three of those things. This new film sees multiple teams of Angels helmed by multiple Bosleys. Sure, that won't be confusing or dumb in any way.
I'll admit this much to you now. I was never a fan of any iteration of Charlie's Angels. Not the 70s TV show. Not the three movies with Cameron Diaz (although teenage me enjoyed the dancing in the underwear scene from the first film), not the 2011 TV reboot (you forgot about that, didn't you), and this 2019 version looks like the worst of them all.
Charlie's Angels (2019) hits theaters in November.
