With the assistance of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run Tuesday at 93rd and Maple Street has been located. Omaha Police report the van was found in Fremont. A search warrant was drafted and the vehicle was seized.
Officers were called to the intersection around 10 a.m. Tuesday. A 2005 Ford Econoline van was seen driving recklessly. It made a quick lane change and ended up jumping the curb and striking 29 year old Sade Watkins of Omaha.
Watkins was taken to a hospital with multiple fractures to her leg and a lacerated hip. She remains in serious condition.
The search for the driver continues.
