The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and Papillion Fire and Rescue were called to 84th and Platteview Road for an accident at 7:52 a.m.
A grey Honda driven by 67 year old Jerry Patry was stopped westbound on Platteview Road at a stop sign and was attempting to turn south onto 84th Street. As the Honda turned south, it was struck by a Volkswagen driven by 19 year old Patience Jurgens.
Patry was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. She later died.
Jurgens was not injured.
The accident is being investigated by the Sarpy County Crash Response Unit. No further details are available.
