Update: Murder Suspect Trail To Be Cuffed For Remainder Of Trial

Update: Aubrey Trail's attorneys say he possibly used a piece of a razor blade to cut his own throat in court this morning. He is in the process of being released from a hospital.

Trail's attorney says he was not unconscious when he was removed from the courtroom. The wound required stitches.

Authorities now say that murder suspect Aubrey Trail will be handcuffed for the rest of his first degree murder trial in connection to the 2017 death of Sydney Loofe of Lincoln.

While in a Saline County Courtroom this morning, Trail yelled, "Bailey is innocent and I curse you all." That is when he cut his own throat. He was unconscious when he was taken from the courthouse to a hospital. There are reports that it was a "very bloody scene."

At that time the judge ordered that all recording devices be turned off. District Judge Vickie Johnson then asked the jury to disregard the outburst and no consider it in deliberations. The trial was discontinued Monday and is scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Trail's condition is not known at this time.

The Bailey that Trail referred to is Bailey Boswell who is also charged with Loofe’s death.
