Lightning Strike Damages Bellevue Home

No one was hurt in a morning house fire at 45th and Glenmorrie Drive.

Storms were targeting the area and a lightning bolt struck the home around 6 a.m. The lightening started a fire in the attic but also traveled through the pipes and exited a spigot. That also set a neighbor's fence on fire. The strike was so severe that items fell off shelves.

The roof fire was quickly contained.
