A driver is facing a long list of charges after a crash around 6:40 p.m. Friday. Police were sent to I-680 at Fort Street and found a 2013 Kia Optima was eastbound on Fort. Witnesses told police that vehicle was traveling 20 mph over the 40 mph speed limit and changing lanes multiple times.
Just past the off-ramp intersection, the Kia hit an eastbound that 1999 Toyota Camry. The crash caused the Kia to roll at least once. The Toyota spun around stopped on the south side of Fort. Two restrained juveniles, 11 year old twins in the Toyota were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Kia is identified as 22 year old Arianna K. Pope of Omaha. Pope was booked for DUI, driving under suspension, reckless driving and for having an open container. There was also an active warrant for Pope's arrest.
