Motorcyclist Killed In Highway 75 Crash Identified

Omaha Police have released more details in a deadly motorcycle crash on Highway 75 south of Ames Avenue late Monday afternoon.

Investigators say a 2016 Honda CRV was stopped in traffic on northbound Highway 75 due to traffic congestion when a northbound 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the Honda from behind.

The motorcycle then spun off of the rear end of the Honda into a second traffic lane where it was then struck by a school bus. The driver of the Harley-Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene. He's identified as 49 year old Vernon Hunter of Sioux City, IA.

The other two drivers were not injured. There were students on the bus at the time of the crash. Another bus picked up the students to transport them from the scene.
