Robbery Suspect Leaves Walgreens Empty Handed

Omaha Police say a would-be robber failed in his attempt to get cash from the Walgreens at 43rd and Ames Avenue Sunday afternoon.

An employee old officers that the suspect approached the counter around 1:20 and made a purchase. When the employee opened the cash register, the suspect showed a knife and attempted to take cash from the drawer.

A struggle ensued over the cash drawer, and the suspect eventually left without taking any money. He's described as a black male in his 30s, about six feet tall, wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, light colored pants, white shoes and a camo hat.
