39 years after The Shining haunted audiences, the sequel is finally coming! Doctor Sleep, based on Stephen King's 2013 novel, continues the story of young Danny Torrance. The events of the first movie weighing on him still. Danny meets a young girl with similar powers, Danny must protect her as a secret group attempts to harness her powers.
We don't get much here from this trailer. Which is fine. At this point, we don't need much to create a buzz. I've heard (personally) mixed reactions to this book, but who's to say how much this movie follows the book. Right now, I like what I see. And King is the hottest property in horror. He's a trendy guy to use for source material. Showing how cyclical Hollywood can be. Cause King has been "Hollywood's Horror It Man" before.
Doctor Sleep hits theaters November 8th.
