Movie Trailer: Three From Hell

Rob Zombie is back in the director's chair! The horror aficionado's next movie, "Three From Hell" dropped its first trailer today. The sequel to 2005's "The Devil's Rejects" which finishes the trilogy started in 2003's "House of 1000 Corpses".

Each movie has been an homage to a different style of grindhouse movie. House of 1000 Corpses was a nod to Texas Chainsaw Massacre and traditional grindhouse fare. Devil's Rejects saw the genre change to a Bonnie and Clyde style police chase movie. Three From Hell appears to a prison movie, or more likely, an escape from prison movie.

Hot Take. This isn't really a trailer as advertised. It's a teaser. There's no significant footage from the movie, it's more or less just Rob Zombie saying "Hey, don't forget. This movie is a thing, and it's coming. I swear." There's not even a release date attached. It just says this year. My gut would say late September or October. It looks fine. Rob's movies lately have been weird and underwhelming. This is the franchise he seems to be able to handle. I have high hopes as Corpses/Rejects were both VERY good movies. Corpses is still one of the most unnerving movies I've ever seen in my life. The genre switcheroo for Rejects was a stroke of genius and a better movie than the original. We'll see if Zombie has one final trick up his sleeve for Part 3.

Three From Hell hits theaters later this ye
