An accident involving an Omaha Police cruiser slowed traffic near Fort and I-680 Friday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m., officers were on a call in a marked cruiser. The lights and siren were on. The officers were getting off I-680 and attempting to turn east on Fort Street when they hit a Ford Escape.
Officer Carlie Potts suffered a hand injury. Officer Bryan Hayes suffered head pain. Both were taken to a hospital by another officer.
The driver of the Escape, an 84 year old woman, was not hurt.
The accident remains under investigation.
