Four People Killed In Cass County Crash Identified

The Cass County Sheriff's Department has identified the four people killed in a head-on crash Sunday night on Highway 75 between Plattsmouth and Beaver Lake.

Investigators say a 2000 Dodge Caravan, driven by 57 year old Walter Minshall of Omaha, had turned northbound onto Highway 75 from 1st Ave around 9:45 p.m.  The van was then observed accelerating northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 75.

The Caravan then struck a 2013 Ford Mustang head-on just south of Young Rd.  The sheriff's department says Minshall and his two passengers, 49 year old Brenda Minshall of Madison and 53 year old Constance Gillott of Plattsmouth, were all killed on impact.

The driver of the Mustang, 20 year old Taylor Grasewicz of Beaver Lake, also died at the scene. Three passengers were taken to Omaha hospitals to be treated, 22 year old Anthony Drake, 20 Year old Dakota Keyser and 18 year old Scarlet Stodola.

Investigators say seatbelts were worn by the driver and front passenger of the Caravan.  They say all of the other people involved appear to have been unrestrained.  Alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
