"Stop The Bans" Abortion Rally Held In Lincoln

About 350 people gathered at the Nebraska Capitol Tuesday to rally together in support of abortion rights. This follows a series of restrictive abortion laws in a number of states.

Former State Senator Brenda Council called the laws passed in other states "despicable" and an assault on women's autonomy.

Senator Ernie Chambers also urged participants to vote for political candidates who reflect their own convictions.

The rally was sponsored by ACLU Nebraska, Planned Parenthood and the Women's Fund of Omaha.

Many other "Stop the Bans" rallies are planned nationwide.
