Nebraska lawmakers voted 35-12 and passed a new $9.3 billion two year budget.
This includes a $51 million dollar bump to Nebraska's property tax credit fund. It also includes more funding for health care, behavioral health services and child welfare.
The bill now heads to Governor Pete Ricketts' desk. He could either sign it, veto it or cut specific items through his power of line-item veto.
State spending will increase by about 2.9% each year, less than the 3.1% increase that was previously proposed by Governor Ricketts.
There were objections by fiscal conservatives who argued for spending cuts.
