12 Juveniles Arrested In Connection To Recent Carjackings

Omaha Police arrested a total of 12 juveniles connected to recent carjackings in the metro.

Five juveniles are connected to carjackings on Saturday near 78th and Meredith and near 90th and Maple.

Seven juveniles were arrested for a carjacking in Miller Park last night. Police say that a woman had just finished playing golf and was getting into her vehicle when a group of juveniles jumped her. They also hit her, knocked her to the ground and took her Jeep. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police later located the stolen Jeep at Nebraska Crossing near Gretna.

The victims of two carjackings on Saturday were women who were alone. Both were either getting in or out of their car at the time.

Police remind all residents to be aware of their surroundings. Park in well-lit areas and if you feel something isn't right, move to a different location. Pedestrians have also been advised to do the same.
