A semi driver was air lifted to a hospital around 8:30 Sunday morning after his rig collided with another on I-80 between Shelby and Avoca, Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol says one semi was passing another. It collided with the slower truck. The passing truck ended up in a ditch. The other semi was able to pull over on the shoulder.
The 80 year old driver of the truck trying to pass was hurt. The other driver is okay.
The investigation continues and no word yet if citations will be issued.
