Many in Omaha spent part of the day taking a spin on electric scooters. A day after Mayor Jean Stothert signed off on the deal, the scooters started popping up with plenty of people ready to give them a try.
These scooters were located outside the front door of the First National Technology Center downtown by 16th and Chicago. There are also scooters in the Benson area.
This is a six month pilot program where the scooters can be rented. There are now about 200 available to rent-and-ride. That number could jump to 750 if the pilot goes well.
