Lincoln Police are looking for a man who attempted to kidnap a 10-year-old girl Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to Lakeview Park park near NW 20th and Q around 4:30 p.m. where witnesses and the victim described a man in his 20's who approached the girl and pulled her into his arms. The man released her and waved to another 10-year-old girl to come over to him. He then began walking toward her.
The second girl ran to a neighbor while yelling for help. Two neighbors responded. One of them called 911 and began following the man, who began walking away from the park. Police said he noticed he was being followed and he ran.
Police searched the area, contacted the victims and interviewed witnesses but could not locate the suspect. Both girls says they did not know him.
