Nebraska State Patrol troopers were called to the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln at 10:10 Thursday morning after a handgun had been found in a restroom.
Troopers secured the area and the weapon.An investigation showed the weapon was mistakenly left in the restroom by an investigator with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
The State patrol asks that any person who finds an unattended firearm immediately report it to authorities.
