Mills County Emergency Management reports that the water in Pacific Junction has been cleared for consumption and the boil order lifted. Those wanting services turned on can make a request in person at the office. They do ask that someone be present when the water is turned on as a precautionary measure.
This is for water service only. The sewer system remains offline and using drains or toilets can cause back up inside homes.
Officials understand this is a sensitive subject, but those who are planning to demolish their homes should let their office know so they can schedule the removal of the meter and radio read unit. The would also like all residents to do this for other utilities as well.
