Eli Young Band Headlining CWS Opening Ceremonies

Country music’s Eli Young Band will headline the 2019 NCAA Men's College World Series Opening Celebration Day on Friday, June 14.

The group will perform about 9:30 p.m. at home plate in TD Ameritrade Park Omaha before about 20,000 fans, including the eight teams earning a berth in college baseball’s national championship. Their performance will be followed by a grand fireworks finale.

Opening Celebration Day’s free activities begin at 9 a.m. with team practices followed by team autograph sessions. The CWS Fan Fest also will open the morning of June 14 and provide family-friendly entertainment, including NCAA-sport interactive games and photo opportunities.

Evening activities will kick off with a parade of the eight teams marching east from Creighton University’s Morrison Stadium on Mike Fahey Street. The teams will enter the stadium where they will be introduced Olympic style. Also performing will be the Wings of Blue Air Force parachute team, which will be followed by the Eli Young Band and the grand fireworks finale.

Opening Celebration Day schedule

Team Practices: 9:10 a.m. – 5 p.m. CDT

Team Autograph Sessions: Each team will sign autographs for 45 minutes beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of their respective practices.

Fan Fest: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. CDT (Lot C and Mike Fahey Street).

Parade of Teams down Mike Fahey Street: 8:30 p.m. CDT

Opening Ceremonies: 8:45 p.m. – 10 p.m. CDT, featuring team introductions, U.S. Air Force Wings of Blue Air Force parachute team, Eli Young Band and the fireworks finale.
