An Omaha man's in jail after police say he tried to ram a police car during a chase in Webster County, Iowa. The Sheriff's Office took a call about a pickup truck speeding and driving erratically around 6:00 Tuesday evening.
A short time later Dayton Police Chief Nick Dunbar noticed the truck entering town. A chase began and Dunbar eventually followed 37-year-old Anthony Spinharney into two different bean fields.
Police say Spinharney tried to ram the police car head-on before leaving the truck and trying to run away after shots were fired by Dunbar.
Spinharney was arrested and booked into the Webster County Jail. He was charged with attempted murder of a peace officer, felony eluding and interference with official acts.
