Water Is Back On In Some Areas Of Pacific Junction, Boil Order In Place

Water is being restored in some areas of Pacific Junction.A boil water order is in effect until further notice.

Mills County Emergency Management's Public Health Administrator Sheri Bowen tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB, "The water itself we are recommending for outdoor use. Turning on your garden hose and cleaning outdoors. No water down your drain pipes as the sewer system is still not functioning."

Bowen says there is no sanitary sewer available.Using drains or the toilet can cause back-up. Officials are working with the city of Pacific Junction to restore the sanitary sewer as soon as possible. Work is also being done to restore water service to the entire town.

Those with questions are asked to contact Glenwood Municipal Utilities.
