A North Carolina man has been arrested in Lincoln after police say he tried to have sex with a 14 year old girl. Lincoln Police say 27 year old Alexander Kingston and the girl had communicated through social media and chat rooms and that the conversations were sexual in nature.
Kingston told the girl she could live with him in Wisconsin, sleep in his bed, and he requested nude photographs. Police say Kingston told her he would drive to pick her up and take her to another state to live.
Police say he traveled for several hours across a number of states to meet the 14-year-old, setting up a meeting near 62nd and Vine Street. Investigators say the girl's mother found out about the conversations and told police. They took over the conversation and arrested Kingston at the park where he and the girl were to meet.
Police said he had condoms, 10 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia when he was taken into custody. He was arrested for child enticement with an electronic device and attempted kidnapping.
