A 31-year-old Lincoln man is in jail after police found weapons and drugs during a traffic stop. The Chevy pickup was stopped early Tuesday morning near 10th and E streets.
As Jeremiah Severn was leaning forward to reach for his paperwork, the officer saw what appeared to be the handle of a knife concealed between the console and driver seat.
Severn showed the concealed knife to the officer and it had a 5-inch blade. He then admitted to having another knife in the vehicle.
During a search police also found pills, including Tramadol and Hydrochloride, a glass bong, a small amount of meth, a handgun and a shotgun.
Severn was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and cited for carrying a concealed weapon.
