The official opening of Glacier Bay Landing at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is this Friday.
The Landing will be located along the northern edge of the Zoo that is an older section and lacked food and restrooms.That is about to change. It features an Alaskan coast feel and is a great fit with the Alaskan Adventure Splash-ground nearby.
The Landing will feature seating for more than 650 people. It will have ten concession windows that features crab cakes and Alaskan cod sandwiches.A restroom has been added and there is a shaded space for nursing mothers.
Parents and children will also enjoy a new play area.It will feature a lighthouse with slides, a climbing zone and several interactive areas.
