An Order for Partial Release of Mandatory Evacuation Order was issued today by the Mills County Board of Supervisors and Mills County Emergency Management.
The partial release included the unincorporated areas of:
Lambert Avenue from 180th Street west to the Missouri River
180th Street between Lambert Avenue and Kane Avenue
Kane Avenue between 180th Street and Karns Road
Karns Road between Kane Avenue and Lambert Avenue
Residents in those areas may return to their homes during daylight hours to check and determine the viability of their property.
The Plattsmouth Bridge from Nebraska is currently the ONLY available access route.Residents can use this bridge but are required to replace the bridge closed signage with each crossing.This access is only available until Lambert Avenue is accessible. At that time, the Plattsmouth Bridge is no longer available.
