Omaha Police are asking anyone who uses Elmwood Park to be on high alert following a pair of recent incidents. stigating a pair of incidents at Elmwood Park
On Wednesday at 4:15 pm police received a call of an attempted kidnapping near the park pavillion. A victim said a white man between 30-40 years of age wearing a black shirt and jeans tried to force them into a white 4-door vehicle.
The attempted abduction comes after police say someone running through the park was sexually assaulted near the swimming pool around 6:30 Saturday evening. Right now Omaha Police say they don't have enough information that could connect the two incidents.
The Omaha Police Department wants to encourage the public to be aware of these incidents that occurred in the Elmwood Park area.We encourage the public to be aware of their surroundings and if the see any suspicious activity to contact 911 immediately or contact Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP (7867).
