Convicted killer Marcus Short was sentenced to life in prison today for the August 2015 murder of Garion Johnson.Short was found guilty by a jury last February.
Short was also sentenced to 49 to 50 years for three weapons convictions.
Johnson was 19 years old when he was shot near Fontenelle Boulevard and Sorensen Parkway. He was sitting in a car at the time and tried to drive away but hit a garage.He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
