Bottled Water Advisory For Malvern, Iowa

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan holds stacks of bottled water in the agency's warehouse that will be distributed to the public, after elevated lead levels were found in the city's water in Flin

The City of Malvern has issued a Bottled Water Advisory effective immediately. The city has experienced a failure of one of their wells and the remaining well that is operating has a high nitrate level.

Water can be safely used for all household tasks except drinking/cooking. High nitrate is of significant concern to infants. therefore; the advisory has been issued until further notice.

Boiling intensifies nitrates so is not a solution for drinking water. All water consumed needs to come from a bottle. For additional information call 712-624-8282.
