Omaha police say a man is recovering after he was shot Friday night near 29th and Fort. Police say the man walked into a hospital around 9 p.m. with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers arrived and talked to 27 year old Larry Whaley Jr. who them he was parked in his vehicle when an unknown person opened the car door and demanded money.
The person then shot Whaley and fled on foot. Anyone with information on the shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
