Omaha Police Launch Investigation Following Road Rage Shooting

Omaha Police are investigating following a road rage shooting on Highway 75 Tuesday night.

Authorities say officers were called to assist Bellevue Police around 9:45 Tuesday night to investigate a road rage incident. Officers spoke with the victim, 21 year old Denilson Perez-Alva, who said he got into a disturbance with a Hispanic male in the area of 24th and L Street.

Perez-Alva told officers that the suspect exited a gray BMW and assaulted him. Perez-Alva then left the area in his vehicle, and the BMW and a white Ford sedan followed him. While driving southbound on Highway 75 between L and Q Street, a suspect in the Ford fired a gun multiple times, striking Perez-Alva's vehicle. Perez-Alva drove to Bellevue and then called 911.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP.
