Missing Inmate Turns Himself In To Authorities

An inmate who was missing from the Community Corrections Center in Omaha turned himself in Sunday morning.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services announced that Adrian Rodriguez was missing Saturday morning after he failed to return to the facility following work that day. CCC-O is a low-level custody facility where inmates can work, attend school and religious services without direct supervision with prior approval.

Rodriguez is serving a three year sentence for assaulting a police officer, but this incident will now be referred to the Douglas County Attorney's office for the determination of additional charges. Rodriguez was scheduled for tentative release on May 9th.
