NHS Helps Connect Flood Victims With Long-Term Pet Foster Homes

The flooding disaster has affected many animal owners, and those whose homes flooded will have to deal with it for a long time to come.

A kennel at the Nebraska Humane Society is currently housing some of the 60 plus pets that were displaced in the flood and while the NHS can offer temporary housing, officials know they will need some longer-term housing for many pets.

So, NHS has created a Facebook page to connect people willing to foster animals with pet owners who need a little help. The page is called "Helping Animals in Need - NE/IA Flood 2019."

The page is a message board and NHS does not endorse anyone or check backgrounds. The page is simply a way to open the lines of communication between flood victims needing a safe space for their pets and those who can offer longer-term fostering.

You can visit the Facebook page by clicking here.
