The Nebraska State Patrol reminds drivers that Highway 75 is experiencing increased traffic due to flooding along I-29 in Iowa and northwest Missouri.The Patrol urges drivers use extra caution with the additional traffic in the area.
One person was killed in a crash at 4:10 p.m. Thursday on Highway 75 in Nemaha County.The State Patrol says a southbound vehicle driven by 30 year old Rachelle Ellston of Humboldt crossed the center line and struck a northbound Ford Fusion.56 year old George Winchester of Cook was the driver of the Fusion and died at the scene.
Ellston was taken to a hospital in Lincoln.Two children in her vehicle were in car seats and were not hurt.
Highway 75 was closed for five hours for the investigation.
