Union Pacific Transports Flood Evacuees From Valley, Fremont

On Saturday afternoon Union Pacific Railroad began re-locating Waterloo and Valley flood evacuees to Elkhorn Middle School. As of about 3:30 p.m., Union Pacific Railroad started to transport people from Waterloo to the school via hy-rail vehicles.

Resources available to evacuees at Elkhorn Middle School include: security provided by the Omaha Police Department, kennels and pet food from the Nebraska Humane Society and a variety of services from the American Red Cross.

Medical and behavioral health professionals have also been requested.
