Two electrical contractors were injured at a construction site at 49th and Dodge on Monday afternoon. Omaha Fire officials confirmed two workers were injured after they struck a power line while around 12:30.
Both were taken to the hospital. One suffered critical injuries. The two workers were in an elevated basket at the top floor of the building under construction when the incident happened.
Omaha Public Power District was called to the scene to cut power to the area. The outage affected more than 2,300 customers in the area .
OPPD said power was restored at 1:15 p.m.
