In what appears to be a battle of which is worse between relentless snow and deteriorating roads, potholes seem to be winning the fight.
Driving in the metro has become gruesome due to the rim-wrecking potholes left behind following a rough winter. The potholes have gotten so bad in some areas that the City of Omaha has had to shutdown some streets in order to allow crews to make repairs and avoid any further damage to commuters' cars.
Sunday night, 144th northbound from Millard Ave. to Q Street and southbound from Q Street to U Street was shutdown do to the condition of the road. No word yet on when it will reopen.
To report potholes on Omaha streets you can call the Mayor's hotline at 402-444-5555 or report it online here.
