Former Firefighter Union President Charged With Assault Pleads Not Guilty

Former Omaha Firefighter Union President Steve LeClair continues to deny accusations that he hit a woman in the back last November at a bar. LeClair pleaded not guilty to assault and battery and disorderly conduct charges.

LeClair was fired from his position at the Firefighter's Union last month.He has denied the allegations since he was first accused.

The charges are misdemeanors but each offense is carries up to six months in jail, a $500 fine or both.
