A Man wanted by Omaha Police in connection to a Friday night stabbing has been arrested.
Authorities say 26 year old Jarel Wilkins was taken into custody near 18th and Spencer on Sunday afternoon. They say Wilkins was responsible for stabbing 24 year old Trellnequa George at an apartment near 99th and Crown Point Friday night. George was taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of her injuries.
On Saturday, police were looking for help in locating Wilkins. He was suspected in an assault around 8 P.M. Friday southwest of 99th and Military. A woman was stabbed several times. She was hospitalized for treatment.
Police said Wilkins was also wanted on two felony warrants for assault and shoplifting for unrelated incidents. Charges in connection to the Friday night assault are pending.
