A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following a shooting in a northwest Omaha neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. Someone called 911 just before 5:00 pm to say there had been a shooting at a home near 134th and Meredith and hung up.
When deputies arrived they found the woman dead at the scene. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The Douglas County Sheriff's Department isn't releasing the names yet. They say no suspects are being sought at this time.
Investigators are still trying to determine what led to the shooting.
