A Winter Storm Watch In Effect For Metro Area

Another winter storm will be taking aim at eastern Nebraska and western Iowa Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued with heavy snow is becoming increasingly likely for much of the area. According to WOWT 6 the metro area can expect at least 4-7".

It's possible some parts of the area to the east of Omaha could see as much as 10" of snow by Wednesday morning.

WOWT says snow will likely still be falling during the morning commute on Wednesday, so expect slick roads. Snow will taper off to flurries by mid-morning, with dry conditions moving in by afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the upper 20s to around 30.

After a brief break on Thursday, more winter weather is possible by the end of the week with rain and snow returning to the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
