The Ralston community is mourning the loss of a longtime firefighter. 39 year old Kevin Saathoff served with the Ralston Volunteer Fire Department for ten years as a firefighter and EMT.
Saathoff also held the offices of vice president and training captain within the department. He died February 4.
In a statement Ralston Fire Chief Kevin Eischeid says Saathoff "was a great asset to our department with his knowledge, dedication and courage. He will forever be missed."
